I am a visual web & user interface designer
in Raleigh, North Carolina.

My primary focus is in user experience and interface design with a secondary interest in branding and identity. With a practical understanding of CSS and HTML, I specialize in front end web design and development. Not only do I pride myself on visually pleasing design aesthetics, but I also consider usability and the latest standards when designing for clients. I have extensive experience in the CMS Wordpress and have even designed original themes for customers such as IBM. I also enjoy designing user experiences beyond the standard website such as for mobile devices, dashboards and systems management. I like to strategize and look at the bigger picture before setting pen to paper and pixel to screen. I believe research and knowing your user is the most important part of the user experience design process. I am constantly learning more about the growing field and observing the latest trends and techniques. My ultimate career goal is to know as much as I can about my field so that I may lead other designers and developers.

When it comes to working with Adobe products, I feel most comfortable using Dreamweaver, Illustrator and Photoshop. I have been using Photoshop as my main program and Illustrator as its complement since version 5 in 2000. Dreamweaver became one of my favorite programs in 2007 as I moved towards web design and development. I am also familiar with InDesign, After Effects, Flash and Fireworks.
